As an artist and teacher, an important aspect of the art curriculum at Riverside Middle School involves allowing the students to have a hands-on experience in every facet of the creative process. Aside from the learning the art process the students will have an understanding and appreciation for well-known artists, art history and movements, and various cultures.
I take the time to understand my students’ unique interests and needs as they learn the art process. I strive to help each student discover a deeper level of artistic thought, and support them as they apply it to their own artwork, regardless of their level of ability. I believe that the Arts are a basic necessity to be included in the education of all children.
I have been teaching Art for over 9 years. I graduated from Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia Pa. where I majored in 2D Fine arts and ArtEducation.
