Vocal Health
*Your singing voice is an extension of your speaking voice
*If you abuse your speaking voice, your singing voice will be greatly affected
*Get lots of sleep, drink plenty of water, and exercise
*Smoking is the most dangerous enemy of your voice.  It dries, irritates, damages, and destroys your vocal chords and larynx...not to mention your LUNGS!
*Avoid yelling or screaming, especially in dry climates
*If you get a bad cold with a sore throat or lose your voice, spend a few days NOT USING YOUR VOICE!  Don't even whisper!  Communicate by writing.  Carry a pad and pen around with you all of the time.
